Tip 1. Use proper spelling and grammar/look professional.
When in an argument, you want to look as professional as possible, and act like you know what you are talking about. If another user b-
egins to use profanity or obscenity, respond calmly and act like this
is no big deal. This closes an incredible weak spot for trolls and ha-
ters who feed off of negative responses. Besides, which seems more
likely to win an argument: "I really think you are mistaken." or "n00b
ur sch a returd"?
Tip 2: Keep calm.
Let me say something important: Haters and trolls just want to see you react. That's what they live for. Always go by this statement: DON'T feed
the trolls. If you stay calm during an argument, chances of being
successful will fly through the roof, ESPECIALLY if the other user is
egotistical. Egotistical people believe that they are "the most incredible
people in the world" (when most likely this is just personal belief to
hide insecurity) and if they are argued with, they are going to use
responses such as "you dn't no what ur takin about i'm a boss". This
is especially useful for arguments about misheard/misread things.
Also, this is in case you don't understand the term.
egotistical: an inflated sense of self-importance or superiority; self-centredness
Tip 3: If their argument is invalid, find loopholes/contradictions.
There are two kinds of people on the Internet: people who have validarguments, and people who have no idea what they are talking about.
If your person has no idea what they are talking about, you have an ex-
cellent opportunity to find valid arguments against their statements.
Tip 4. Profanity doesn't help your argument if there is none.
Listen. So many people think that if they have a long statement that is mainly composed of profanity it will be a good argument. This is not true. Keep profanity at a minimum, lay off the caps unless a statement is important, and make sure much of your statement is an actual argument and not a wall of text.I will continue to bring updates on things like this, but until then, make sure you subscribe. It really helps the site, and it doesn't take long. If you want, you can use RSS feeds on your desktop or bookmark bar to do it quickly. As always, like, share, comment, and enjoy.
